Meet Our Coaches
Sally and Dana have been coaching together since 2014. However, they began cheering together in 2000. Winning a state title in 2001 as teammates. While they both share a love for cheer, they also have deep roots in the Rosemount community.
COACH SALLY HOMAN
Head Coach
Hello! My name is Coach Sally. I have been involved with the Irish cheer team for over 20 years as both a coach and an athlete. Over these years it has been so amazing to watch the evolution of cheer and admire the growth of the stunting abilities. Winning the 2023 National title remains my most cherished memory, not only as a veteran of the team, a coach, but also a mother to two of the athletes. My family has strong ties to the Rosemount community as my children are the third generation to attend Rosemount High School. The Rosemount community holds a special place in my heart. The support from the community throughout the years has been so amazing. I believe the success of the teams is a direct reflection of the entire community. I am proud to continue the legacy and hope to bring home another national title. Go Irish!
COACH DANA JACENE
Head Coach
I’m Coach Dana. I started my love of cheer in 1997 when I tried out for cheer at Rosemount High School. I cheered for all 4 years of high school. After high school I cheered at Mankato State University. My favorite cheer memories as an athlete were winning State back-to-back years and attending Nationals. My favorite college memories were cheer at football and basketball games and attending Nationals at the band shell we all know from the “Cheer” series in Daytona Beach. I found myself back where it all started when I got the opportunity to coach at Rosemount High School in 2014. I love helping to shape the lives of these wonderful young athletes. My favorite part of coaching is seeing the tremendous growth in our athletes throughout the year and watching our program grow from just 12 athletes to having as many as 45 athletes. My ultimate favorite memory will forever be winning the first National title ever won at Rosemount High School. Cheer has and always will be a great passion of mine and I’m incredibly lucking to be a part of the cheer program as both an athlete and coach.
